Just for fun this month, we’re doing that Halloween classic, “Monster Mash.” It’s the old Bobby “Boris” Pickett number from the 60s that requires, as the artist’s name suggests, a Karloff-ian sensibility. The chords are pretty easy–G – Em – C -D–but there are a lot of silly words and a great opportunity to indulge in several choruses of “in-a-shoop-wha-oo.” Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?
Remember that as usual, we will meet on Thursday evening, October 10, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Memorial United Methodist Church at 6100 Berkman Drive, Austin 78723.
Below is the song for you to try out. The chords we’ll be using are the same as in the original song.
See you there to find out what happened to the Transylvania Twist!
